Meet our new project!

Updated: Sep 27, 2021

Welcome to the Med & Mark blog, where we will write about a variety of topics related to medical translation and marketing translation.

Med & Mark Blog - Medical Translation and Marketing Translation

Collaboration is key to success.

This is true to everything in life – and that includes your translation projects. Proper communication and collaboration between the client and the translator will result in quality translations, both for present and future projects. Without clear and open lines of communication, the translator may unintentionally miss your intended meaning or target audience, not to mention that you risk facing delays and cost overruns.

What about collaboration among translators?

From small one-off requests to high-volume projects, teaming up with a colleague will improve the quality of the translation and help dealing with challenges that may arise along the way.

It was in this spirit of cooperation that we’ve decided to launch this new project!

The Med & Mark blog is based on a long-standing friendship between two professional English to Portuguese translators who who met as undegraduate students in 2001, and never lost contact with each other.

Living in almost opposite ends of the country, the coffee-shop conversations between classes turned into daily chat messages.

So, who are we?

Ana Catarina Lopes - English to Portuguese Healthcare & Marketing Translator

Ana Catarina specializes in Healthcare and Marketing. She helps foreign companies to launch their brand and products in the Portuguese market by translating, localizing and transcreating their client-targeted contents to make them appealing to the Portuguese public.

Ana Sofia Correia - English to Portuguese Life Sciences & Medical Translator

Ana Sofia specializes in Life Sciences and Medicine. She works with Life Sciences companies, Contract Research Organizations and Patient Organizations who need to translate their materials — from clinical trial materials through patient questionnaires to product information — on time and within budget.

The Med & Mark blog is primarily aimed at those who need language services and want to know more about it – whether it is translation, localization, transcreation, linguistic validation, cultural consultancy, or any other related service.

We hope you enjoy the content we share. Our goal is to post new content every two weeks. But, hey, life happens, and we may post a bit earlier or later than that, sometimes…
